Gateway Hotels & Resorts expands into India with Damdama Lake property

The Gateway Hotels & Resorts, part of the Taj group, has announced the opening of the Damdama Lake Gurgaon, the first Gateway branded resort in India, increasing the brand portfolio to 25 properties.

Situated in the outskirts of Gurgaon in the NCR region of Delhi, the 78-room Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon is an urban sanctuary nestled in the heart of the Aravalli hills.

Sprawling over 20 acres of landscape, with nearly 1,000 trees, the resort is the ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat, to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Here, the architecture attempts to dissolve the boundaries of the building and integrate it with the surrounding natural beauty.

Adrenaline-seeking guests can enjoy the resort’s adventure sports complex, which offers activities such as zorbing, rock climbing, balloon bursting, blind mine field and spider web.

Fitness fanatics can use the Active Studio, the swimming pool, and the sports park, while the spa provides the perfect excuse to unwind.

Nature enthusiasts can benefit from the resort’s convenient proximity to Damdama Lake, a popular picnic spot, that is home to more than 190 species of birds.

The new property is also close to the hot springs at Sohna, the ancient Shiva temple and Suraj Kund.

Back at the hotel, guests are invited to indulge in local Haryanvi cuisine at the all-day diner, Buzz.

The resort also offers Chinese and Thai cuisine at Sian restaurant, and a high-energy lounge bar, Swirl.

For the wellness seeker, Buzz offers an Active Foods Menu, offering guests balanced meals of handpicked ingredients to meet their daily nutritional needs.
