CIMTIG launched a competition to find the most successful travel related TV advert from 2010, following a recent article in Marketing; ‘Irritating ads 2010: Memorable for the wrong reason’ which crowned Gocompare as the most irritating ad for the second year. Interestingly no travel companies were named and with that in mind CIMTIG launched a poll to see which holiday TV advert from 2010 was the most popular. 3000 votes were submitted and Thomas Cook won the coveted number one slot with 35% of the vote featuring Jamie and Louise Rednapp closely followed by James Villa Holidays ‘Happy Feet’, and Hoseasons in third place.
