Sandals Ochi Beach Resort reinvests luxury all-inclusive tourism in Jamaica

Following a multi-million dollar renovation project, Sandals Resorts International has announced the re-launch of Sandals’ largest and Jamaica’s newest resort to date, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort.

Previously known as Sandals Grande Riviera Beach & Villa Golf Resort, the completely renovated resort was rebuilt to offer a dynamic beach experience complete with stylish beach club vibes, chic exclusivity and innovative culinary concepts.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort will debut a fresh, modern design aesthetic along with seven new Gourmet Discovery Dining options, a fresh, trendy Ochi Beach Club, reinvented resort entertainment, upgraded luxurious accommodations and more.

“Sandals Ochi Beach Resort is a game changer for the all-inclusive resort experience in Jamaica,” said Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts International.

“With this re-launch, we’ve not only enhanced the resort, but did so with a reimagined guest experience in mind, solidifying Sandals Ochi as Jamaica’s most comprehensive resort in the region.

“We’re leading the next generation of resorts in Jamaica, and while others may try to follow, we will continue to do what we do best, exceed guest expectations.”

The re-launch sees the introduction of Gourmet Discovery Dining at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort.

This includes the most comprehensive dining programme in Jamaica with 16 restaurants spanning all corners of the culinary globe and 11 bars throughout the resort.

The programme offers a complete immersion into the flavours of other cultures.

Among these restaurants, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort is debuting new concepts for the entire brand including Southern, tapas and a speakeasy bar.

Restaurants include Tapas on the Riviera, an international tapas restaurant; Le Gourmand, a high-end French restaurant; Vista Gourmet / Sky Terrace, a seafood beachside restaurant; The Southern Table, featuring Southern soulful cooking; Ocean, a beach bar reminiscent of the South of France; Jerk Shack, featuring authentic and casual Jamaican Jerk and The Rabbit Hole, a new speakeasy bar.

Continuing to enhance its extensive culinary experience, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort will serve Robert Mondavi Wines, a new partnership for the brand.

Guests will experience a whole new level of luxury in the Sandals Ochi Beach Resort accommodations, with completely renovated rooms to suit any style or budget.

The resort has also expanded its exceptional butler service by introducing the All-Butler Village.

All suites located in the Village are now serviced by expertly-trained butlers to not only tend to guests’ every need throughout their stay, but to anticipate their every need.

With this increased full-service VIP treatment, more guests can holiday like celebrities from the moment they arrive.

These Love Nest Dream suites and villas create the ultimate private romantic retreat for couples with pools, balconies, luxurious bathrooms and amenities such as: plush terry robes, hand-embroidered Egyptian cotton duvets, plasma TVs and more.

In addition to the renovation of its Love Nest Dream suites, the resort has reinvigorated its luxury private villa blocks built for couples to travel with friends in tow.

Sandals Ochi Beach Club, Jamaica’s trendiest, most exclusive hotspot has been restyled with new furniture and a chic deck lounge designed for seclusion and scenic views.

Sandals Ochi Beach Club is a stylish beach party by day and the hottest outdoor lounge in the Caribbean at night.

With a beachfront pool, swim-up bar, the Caribbean’s largest rock climbing wall and ten waterside restaurants to choose from, guests will never want to leave.

The resort now boasts a new style of landscaping throughout including: updated furniture, new lighting, Zen ponds and signature fire pits.

With more pools than any other resort in Jamaica, totalling 105, guests can cool off during the day at the newly renovated Oasis Pool or Main pool.

When guests arrive at the Great House, formerly known as the Manor, they’ll experience a beautiful revitalised ‘porte cochere’ too.

To make getting around the resort even more convenient for guests, a new transportation hub called The Hop has been added, where guests can grab a jitney ride and be down by the beach in a matter of minutes.

Additionally, the conference room received a fresh, new look with new curtains, tiles and carpet in the corridor.

From sailing to kayaking to tennis and beach volleyball, guests will find their perfect level of adventure as often as they wish at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort because everything is included in their holiday, even unlimited scuba diving in waters renowned for being among the world’s most spectacular.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort’s diving programme includes dives with a range of depth between 30 and 130 feet, with top-of-the-line equipment and guided tours provided.

Through its comprehensive AquaCentre, diving is included for divers certified by an industry recognised agency.

Non-certified divers wanting to experience diving for the first time can take the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course for a nominal fee in a special scuba certification pool and dive the same day.

Located just minutes from Sandals Ochi Beach Resort and rising 700 feet above sea level with incomparable views, Sandals Golf & Country Club is one of the best golf courses in Jamaica.

As the private club for Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, this 18-hole, 71-par course offers soft breezes, narrow fairways, a driving range, chipping and putting greens, PGA-certified clinics and most importantly, complimentary green fees and transportation. In this golfer’s paradise, each game promises to be a winning experience.
