Sabre inks deal with AviancaTaca

Sabre Travel Network has extended an agreement with AviancaTaca to distribute its fares, schedules and ancillaries to agencies and corporations using the Sabre global distribution system (GDS).

The agreement provides Sabre access to Avianca, TACA, and Aerogal’s full content to the more than 350,000 global points of sale for travel agents using Sabre, as well as for companies using GetThere.

“AviancaTaca has become a major player in Latin America, having been recently named a Star Alliance member, and it’s important to make available its competitive flight offering for our travel agencies and corporate customers,” said Jay Jones, senior vice president for Sabre Travel Network in the Americas. “Through continued investment in technology and service, Sabre is committed to facilitate a transparent travel marketplace including AviancaTaca as one of the leading airlines group in the Americas”.

Agents will continue to take advantage of electronic ticketing and seat capabilities at the time of booking, both offered in direct collaboration with the airlines.

With this renewal AviancaTaca and its subsidiary companies are among an approximate of 400 airlines, including other regional network carriers as AeroMéxico, Aerolíneas Argentinas and LAN Airlines, utilizing the Sabre GDS to sell their service and products.
