Four killed in Thai nightclub fire

A fire at a nightclub on the Thai resort island of Phuket has killed four people, and injured more than twenty, according to reports.

The Tiger disco broke out in fire during the early hours of Friday morning.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed but it is thought to be linked to lightning striking a transformer.

While the bodies of the deceased have yet to be formerly identified, a Japanese tourist and a French tourist are thought to have been among them, with after they were reported missing from guesthouses in the area.

Four French nationals were among those who were injured, according to reports.
