Starwood Names Mark Rozells VP & Treasurer

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced today the appointment of Mark D. Rozells as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of the Corporation.

Mr. Rozells joins the corporation from The Walt Disney Company where he was Vice President of Corporate Treasury. In his new position he will report to Ronald Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and he will relocate to the corporation’s offices in Phoenix, Arizona.


Mr. Rozells will be responsible for all aspects of the Treasury functions at Starwood including worldwide capital raising, cash management, financial risk management, corporate and pension investments as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with commercial and investment bankers, rating agencies and the fixed income investment community.

Mr. Rozells joined The Walt Disney Company in 1990 as Director-Investments and Funding. He was promoted to Vice President and Assistant Treasurer in 1993 and to Vice President, Corporate Treasury in 1997.

Prior to joining Disney, Mr. Rozells was with Imperial Corporation of America from 1986 to 1989 achieving the rank of Vice President, Corporate Finance. He also worked for The Henley Group/Allied Signal Inc. from 1984 to 1986.


He is a graduate of Yale College with a BA degree in Economics, and he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
