La Quinta Inns, Inc. has added a new executive to its franchise team withthe appointment of Tom Dunn as director of franchise development for the Midwest region.

Dunn will be responsible for the growth of franchised properties in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri. Mr. Dunn will report to Randy Evanchyk, vice president offranchise development.

Dunn has 10 years of experience in various capacities within the hospitality industry. Mostrecently, he served as a hospitality real estate broker for Florida-based National Real EstateInvestments and was responsible for the sales and marketing of hotel and resort real estate. Prior to that position, he served as a regional vice president of franchise sales and development for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, a division of the Cendant Corporation. His tenure at Cendant also included time as regional director of franchise sales and development for the Days Inn and Ramada Inn brands, where he was responsible for the brands’ expansion programs.
