Subodh Patel Named Chairman For Days Inns Franchise Advisory Committee

Subodh Patel was named the new Chairman of the Days Inns Franchise Advisory Committee (FAC), it was announced today by Joe Kane, Days Inns president and CEO, during the Companys General Manager and Owners conference in Tampa, Fla.
“Subodh has been an asset to the brand for many years. I look forward to his leadership in ensuring that Days Inns maintains its dominant position in economy lodging,” Kane said.


Patel will work closely with the brands president to advise on direction for over 1,900 franchisees worldwide. “First and foremost, I intend to continue to strengthen the successful relationship between the brand and its franchisees,” Patel said.


A seasoned businessman, Patel has served on a number of committees for Days Inns FAC. He is also a member of the American Hotel & Motel Association, Asian American Hotel Owners Association and the American Business Club. He is the past President and current Chairman of Lubbock Hotel Motel Association and Marketing Entertainment Travel and Tourism Service Board.


With his family he owns or manages 10 hotels in Texas, two of which are Days Inn hotels. He has a strong accounting background, having worked for a CPA firm in Houston, Texas and General Manager for ICNP Investments.


Patel has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University majoring in accounting and finance. He is married to Gita and they have two children: Roshni (daughter) and Kamal (son).
