The choices are endless for travelers, who can enjoy special savings at approximately 300 Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) hotels outside the continental U.S. and Canada. The following are highlights of special packages around the world:
Continental Europe Experience the most fascinating cities or lounge by the coast in 17 countries throughout Europe. Marriott, Renaissance and Courtyard hotels are offering special rates that include breakfast for two. For example, guests can stay at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel for DK 1.195 or the Marriott Riviera Hotel Cap d’Ail on the French Riviera for EU 145 a night. Whether relaxing in the English countryside or shopping till you drop in the city, travelers can choose from 12 country clubs, 17 golf courses and 54 hotels in cities and towns throughout the UK and Ireland. The Renaissance London Chancery Court, for instance, offers a one-night stay with breakfast for GBP 138 (includes tax) from July 1 to the end of August.


Or escape from the city to Druids Glen Marriott Hotel & Country Club - the company’s first hotel in Ireland. Located just outside Dublin, the hotel is offering a “Combination Golf/Spa Package,” which includes accommodations for one night, breakfast, one round of golf, a packed lunch and a choice of the Golfers Revive Body Booster or Golfers Revive Massage for EU 182.50 per person. The offer is good through the end of August.

Fragrant tropical breezes and azul waters are sure to soothe harried families and couples this year. Travelers who select the “Sand Dollars Escape Package” receive a resort credit of US$100 to $200 to spend during their stay at Marriott and Renaissance resorts (varies by hotel) in Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, Mexico; Jamaica; Aruba; Curacao and the Virgin Islands. Heading to Egypt? Stay in an oasis of luxury at the JW Marriott Hotel, Mirage City in Cairo, which is expected to open this August. Surrounded by palm trees and sparkling lakes, the hotel is home to Egypt’s first themed-water park and a championship 18-hole golf course. Opening rates start at US$99 per night, ending October 1.

The Taba Marriott Hotel & Beach Resort opened its doors this month in an emerging resort destination along the Gulf of Aqaba on the east side of the South Sinai peninsula. It will be joined by three additional hotels, luxury villas, a town center with retail shopping, an 18-hole golf course, a casino, a 50-berth marina and two miles of unspoiled beach. Opening rates begin at US$60 for a double garden room with breakfast for two. Add US$10 for a water view room. The price includes tax and service.
The call of the wild is luring travelers to the Renaissance Melaka Hotel in Malaysia. The hotel is offering a “Health & Wealth in the Jungle Package” that includes a one-night stay in a deluxe double room, buffet breakfast for two, a poolside foot reflexology session and a choice of a traditional Borneo massage or an aromatherapy body massage for RM 460. Famed for its coral reef, the Gold Coast Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort in Australia has a midweek “Discover Scuba Package,” which offers deluxe accommodations in an ocean view room, full buffet breakfast for two and scuba diving lessons for two at a cost of AUD 410 (includes tax).

The Marriott and Renaissance Resorts in Hawaii are enticing guests to experience the glamour and allure of the Hawaiian Islands with “Paradise Plus” packages. Each package includes accommodations and a choice of a rental car or daily breakfast for two. Rates vary and begin at US$149 a night at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort, where the offer ends June 15.
