Tim Byrne Leaves Mytravel Board

MyTravel Group
CEO, has left the company by mutual consent.
David Crossland will continue as chairman, postponing his planned retirement in November for up to 12 months. David Jardine, Group Finance Director, Philip Jansen, CEO Europe and Peter McHugh, CEO North America, will report directly to David Crossland until Tim`s replacement is appointed. Eric Sanderson remains non-executive Chairman designate.


David Crossland said: “Tim has made a major contribution to MyTravel over many years. He delivered record profits in his first year as Group CEO and in the last 12 months has led the Company through the industry`s most difficult trading environment in recent memory. It is with regret that we have reached this mutual decision and I thank Tim for his leadership in creating the MyTravel brand and putting the Group in a market-leading position in the UK.”
