To mark the UK release of the film `Girl With A Pearl
Earring` this Friday (16 January), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is offering a
seat sale to Amsterdam from 14 UK airports from just £89 return, including
`Girl With A Pearl Earring`, starring Colin Firth as the famous 17th
century Dutch painter Vermeer, is based upon the best-selling novel by
Tracy Chevalier. The novel is inspired by his famous painting in the
Mauritshuis in The Hague, and is set in Delft, where Vermeer spent most of
his life. The film tells the story of Griet, a humble maid in the
Vermeer`s house who gradually becomes the inspiration behind one of his
most mysterious and world famous paintings.

Both The Hague and Delft are easily reached by train from Amsterdam
Airport Schphiol.

KLM is offering fares to Amsterdam from London Heathrow from £89 return,
London City, Norwich, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford from £99
return, and Bristol, Cardiff, Teesside, Humberside, Newcastle, Glasgow,
Edinburgh and Aberdeen from £109 return. All fares include all taxes.
