Frontier Airlines Announces New Management Appointments

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today named Lyle Aldrich to the position of director, flight control, effective June 19. In his new position, Aldrich will be responsible for the overall management of the airline`s dispatch and crew scheduling departments, as well as overseeing the operational control center for all of the airline`s flight operations. The airline also named Scott Litchard to the position of regional director, station operations western region and Kevin Pederson to the position of regional director, station operations eastern region, effective June 22. Litchard and Pederson fill newly created positions and will be responsible for the overall operation of the airline`s station personnel, freight and mail operations, ground handling and ground security for their respective regions.

Aldrich, 46, is being promoted to director, flight control from his current position of chief dispatcher. Prior to his service with Frontier, he was with Corporate Air, Frontier/Horizon and Skybus and Denver-based Ports of Call. He holds an instrument rated, commercial pilot`s certificate and an aircraft dispatcher certificate. Aldrich holds a bachelor of science degree from Metropolitan State College in Denver. He currently resides in Aurora, Colo. and has two children.


“Lyle brings over 19 years of aviation experience, primarily in the area of managing dispatch operations,” said Executive Vice President of Operations Jim Wyche. “This experience, combined with his five-year tenure at Frontier, will provide solid leadership and guidance as our airline grows.”


Litchard joins Frontier from Denver-based Information Handling Services Group, Inc. where he most recently held the position of director, international finance. From 1987 to 1995, Litchard served in various capacities for Continental Airlines, including director of field operations, manager of airport services, duty manager of airport operations and regional manager of finance. Litchard holds a bachelor`s degree from Bethany College in Economics and Business Administration. He currently resides in Littleton, Colo. with his wife Karen.


Pederson, 39, is being promoted from the position of senior manager, station operations. From 1994, Pederson has served in various capacities with Frontier, including station manager at the airline`s Minneapolis/St. Paul station. Pederson brings over 10 years of airline experience to his new position and holds a bachelor`s degree in marketing from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. He currently resides in Aurora, Colo. with his wife Diana.
