ATLANTA,  May 14, 2002—Delta Air Lines’ (NYSE:DAL) customers will be able to codeshare on flights of SkyTeam partner Alitalia from its Milan hub to Ancona, Italy; Zurich, Switzerland; and Vienna, Austria beginning June 1, 2002. Delta also will add an additional codeshare flight with Alitalia between Milan and Florence, Italy.
With the start of these new codeshare services, Delta customers will be able to travel beyond Alitalia’s Milan Malpensa and Rome hubs to 18 destinations in Italy and 10 throughout Europe.

Delta and its SkyTeam partners Alitalia, Air France, and CSA Czech Airlines recently were granted anti-trust immunity by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Anti-trust immunity is pro-consumer, pro-competitive and provides customers with expanded travel opportunities.
Top-tier flyers with the SkyTeam airlines Air France, AeroMexico, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta and Korean Air receive elite status on all member airline flights. Additionally, all SkyTeam member airline frequent flyers accrue miles and redeem awards on any of the six airlines.

Alitalia, which operates hubs in Milan and Rome, has more than 869 daily flights to 107 destinations in 53 countries. Founded in 1946, more than 26.6 million passengers flew on Alitalia last year. Alitalia has a fleet of 162 aircraft.
