The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has launched an updated version of their hugely popular Champions Programme. The Programme was first launched in 2006 as a major ADTA initiative to build up a pool of knowledgeable travel trade experts as partners in selling Abu Dhabi to potential visitors.
Due to the fast developments that are taking place in the UAE’s Capital, ADTA have launched the new 2008 Abu Dhabi Tourism Champions Programme which contains updated information on the future developments planned for the world class destination. Agents who have already completed the training programme will soon receive the new 2008 Abu Dhabi Handbook which outlines the updated information that has been added to the programme.
“The Abu Dhabi Champions Programme has already proved hugely popular, with approximately 2,000 agents in the UK and Ireland signed up so far. We are very excited to have launched the new phase of the programme, and look forward to welcoming agents to sign-up and learn about the exciting developments happening throughout Abu Dhabi.” Said Ali Al Hosaini, Promotions Director, ADTA.
“A recent poll by expedia.co.uk put Abu Dhabi in the top 10 places to visit in 2008, proving that the emirate is becoming a much sought after destination, both for business and leisure travel. We therefore encourage agents to sign-up to the ADTA programme, if they have not already done so, in order to have the knowledge to meet the demands of their clients.”
The programme, which can be completed in agents’ leisure, comprises six modules designed to increase knowledge base with a wide range of information on all aspects of Abu Dhabi; from its culture and history to practical everyday tourist tips. Each module will incorporate a test and, when all six are successfully completed, the Champion will be in a position to sell Abu Dhabi with confidence and authority, while at the same time enjoying a number of incentives and benefits.
