Dominican gets luxury villas

Guavaberry Resort & Country Club, a 1,500 acre luxury community located near Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, recently opened three luxury villas and has five more under construction.

Marcello Beron, sales director at Guavaberry Resort & Country Club, said the new villas range in size from 3,000 square feet of living space to 5,000 square feet and are priced from the $350,000s.  The villas under construction will open in the summer, Beron said.

Located just 20 minutes from the Santo Domingo Las Americas Airport and 45 minutes from downtown Santo Domingo, Guavaberry Resort & Country Club boasts a Gary Player signature golf course, a major polo complex that is already booking polo matches for late December, a clubhouse with full food and beverage services, meeting rooms and facilities and two tennis courts, with additional tennis facilities planned.

The gated, guarded Guavaberry Resort & Country Club is located seven minutes from a private beach club with an open-air restaurant and a large pool and whirlpool.  A formal, on-site spa and fitness center is planned, along with commercial and retail facilities, including a resort hotel to accommodate golfers, spa clients and visitors.
