Amadeus has appointed two new members to its management team. Elaine Seeto has been appointed Director of Marketing, Amadeus UK & Ireland and Volker Lorenz has been appointed General Manager, Amadeus Ireland.
Commenting on these appointments, Stephane Durand, Managing Director of Amadeus UK, said, “Amadeus continues to experience a strong growth in the UK and Ireland.  We have increased our market share in the UK and Ireland by more than 300% since 2001 and the appointments of Elaine and Volker are designed to help us continue to expand in this strategically important region.”

Elaine joins Amadeus’ UK & Irish management teams from Bateaux London, where she held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing and had overall responsibility for the planning and execution of business development and marketing strategy.

Elaine Seeto added: “It is my personal goal to further increase the brand presence of Amadeus especially in the hospitality sector, and to continue to build on Amadeus’ position as the leading IT solutions provider for the travel industry in the UK and Ireland.”

Volker joins Amadeus’ Irish sales team from Lufthansa GlobalTeleSales Ltd, where he held the position of Managing Director. 

Commenting on the Irish market, Volker Lorenz said: “I am confident that our local market knowledge and our ability to offer on-the-ground support will lead to more opportunities and further growth of Amadeus in the Irish market.”

Volker takes over from Patrick Rossi, while Elaine’s position is a newly created post.
