New Appointment for lastminute.com

lastminute.com
is delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Clark in
the newly created role of Investor Relations Director.
lastminute.com has grown rapidly over the last 6 years, both
organically and through acquisition, with forecast pro-forma sales
this year of £1.1 billion.  The creation of this new role recognises
the importance of good communications with the analyst community and
key stakeholders. Phil will work closely with lastminute.com’s senior
team and will report to CFO David Howell.

Phil was an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs for seven years,
working within the Retail Research Group.  During this period the
team was ranked first with ‘Institutional Investor’ magazine 3 years
consecutively.  Phil was responsible for equity research on Internet
retail and traditional retail companies, including lastminute.com,
and has experience within several fields of corporate communications
having worked in-house at various consultancies.

After leaving Goldman Sachs Phil read a Masters in Media and
Communication at the London School of Economics.

Brent Hoberman, CEO and co-founder, lastminute.com said: “We’re
delighted Phil has joined us to manage our investor communications.
As a market leader in a growing sector the analyst community which
follows us is growing in size and Phil will be instrumental in
ensuring they have the right access to company information.  He
brings experience which will be of great value to our corporate
communications.”

Of his new appointment Phil Clark said “I am thrilled to have the
opportunity to work with an executive team that I have known for a
long time.  As an analyst I was always impressed with the strength of
lastminute.com’s business model and the exciting consumer
proposition.  I hope that my skills and insights of the analyst and
investor community will take lastminute.com’s communication of the
strategy and business model to the next level.”
