Pearl Resorts and Le Taha’a Private Island and Spa Honored with 2004 World Travel Awards Nominations

South Pacific Management, one of Tahiti’s leading luxury resort management companies, announced two nominations for the 2004 World Travel Awards, scheduled for a December ceremony in Barbados.  Pearl Resorts
is one of six hotel groups nominated as “Australasia’s Leading Hotel Group,” and Le Taha’a Private Island & Spa
is one of five hotels chosen for the category of “French Polynesia’s Leading Hotel.”

“It is truly an honor to see the Pearl Resorts brand and the Le Taha’a brand recognized as leaders in the industry,” said Laurent Bessou, President and CEO.  “Even more so, we feel privileged to be distinguished among a group of peers similarly dedicated to providing the ultimate luxury experience.”

This year’s ceremony will mark the 11th annual World Travel Awards, which has established itself as a leading industry event, combining many areas of travel and tourism into one celebration.  The voting forum began this month, scheduled to reach over 105,000 travel professionals worldwide, who cast votes within their own country, as well as national, continental and worldwide categories.  Regional geographical categories are divided into eight smaller areas: Africa, Asia/Pacific, Caribbean, Central and Latin America, Europe, Middle East, North America, and South America.
