OpenTable is building end-to-end solutions at participating MeriStar locations that will consist of OpenTable electronic reservation books (ERBs) installed at restaurants throughout the property and access to a customised version of OpenTable`s concierge solution, OTConcierge, for the hotel`s front desk and corporate concierges.
After thorough performance testing, OpenTable was selected to enable real-time Internet-based reservation queries and confirmations for participating MeriStar restaurants. The company`s ERB automatically builds an expansive database for each restaurant that gathers customer information including guests` dining history and preferences, allergies, birthdays, anniversaries and much more. This database information is used to enhance and personalise customer service, run reports on dining trends and patterns for better operational forecasting, and can be mined by the restaurant to conduct highly targeted on- and off-line marketing campaigns based on individual diner preferences.
OTConcierge brings MeriStar guest concierges the ability to make and manage dining reservations electronically on behalf of current and future guests and communicate guest preferences and other information directly to the restaurant. Concierges at participating MeriStar hotels have the ability to view and modify reservations made by other concierges at their hotel in order to easily provide hotel guests with the best possible service. Dining consumers can tap into the OpenTable network to make online reservations at restaurants in MeriStar hotels` restaurants directly from www.opentable.com. In addition, diners booking at MeriStar restaurants through OpenTable will automatically earn OpenTable Dining Points which are good towards Dining Cheques redeemable at OpenTable restaurants throughout the United States.
