Spa at Four Seasons Macao offers “Winter Indulgence”

Due to the low humidity in winter, people usually experience more sensitive skin that may be easily irritated in the dry season. To address this common winter skincare concern, Ni-Made Sudiarti, director of the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip ®, has specially prepared a Winter Indulgence spa journey with the use of the natural products from Aromatherapy Associates, and a Chinese beauty recipe with the help from the Hotel’s two Michelin star Chinese kitchen to achieve the best nourishing experience.

Winter Indulgence is a 90-minute soothing spa treatment that begins with a foot ritual with ginger, citrus fruit and tea tree oil, complemented with a deep pressure point foot massage to de-stress tired feet. Then, a re-hydrating rose body scrub follows before indulging in a healing massage of a unique mix of Asian and European techniques, using the signature blended essence of jojoba, grape seed, and rose damask to moisturise the body and improve blood circulation. For those who look for greater de-stressing experience, the therapists of The Spa will adjust treatment using the lavender de-stressing products from Aromatherapy Associates.

After the treatment, when the body and soul are at the best condition for nutritional therapy, a nourishing dish from the award-winning Chinese culinary team at the Hotel’s Zi Yat Heen, including double-boiled black chicken with American ginseng and hashma soup, and chilled bird’s nest pudding with red dates to conclude the perfect journey.

“Thanks to the assistance and professional advice from Chef Ho Pui Iong, our Chinese culinary master in the Hotel, we have for the first time come up with a total wellness package for our guests to benefit from the Spa as well as nutritional therapy,” says Ni-Made. “We decided to use red dates, hashma, and American ginseng as the major ingredients of the recipe because of their nutritional values. Red dates are known for their impressive list of vitamins and minerals, which are required for normal growth and development. Hashma is known to be a very nourishing food, and American ginseng may help boost the immune system and improve well being.”

Winter Indulgence is now available at The Spa of Four Seasons Hotel Macao until January 31, 2012.  Reservations recommended.
