Four Seasons Riyadh welcomes Greg Pirkle new GM

Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh has announced the arrival of its new General Manager Greg Pirkle, who takes up his new appointment directly from his previous position as General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Malaysia.

Having originally studied electrical engineering at Purdue University, Indiana, USA, Pirkle decided to exchange his physics books for the world of hotels and hospitality. Graduating from Purdue with a degree in Hotel Management, Greg started his career with Four Seasons Hotel Boston in 1989.

From those beginnings in Boston, Pirkle has spent more than 20 years in operational leadership roles in seven different Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts properties including the Pierre in New York City (formerly a Four Seasons hotel), Jakarta, Maui, Exuma, Hualalai and, since 2007, Langkawi.

Throughout his career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Greg’s warmth, graciousness and coaching style of leadership are attributes that transcend the diversity of locations where he has worked and he now looks forward to placing his extensive global experience at the service of guests at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre.

Commenting on his appointment, Pirkle said: “Being given the chance to manage a hotel in a new region is something that is an extremely exciting prospect for someone like me who has had a long career in the hospitality business. It is one I particularly embrace as Saudi Arabia is not just the largest market in the Middle East but it is also one of the most fascinating cultures to be given the opportunity to discover and work in.”
Pirkle will be joined in the Kingdom by his wife Sherry and will be turning in his love of the sea and sailboats in exchange for the inland sport of quad desert racing in Riyadh.
