CondeNet selects TurnHere for video

TurnHere.com has been chosen by CondeNet, an Internet unit of Condé Nast Publications, to develop short online videos for Concierge.com’s “Insider Guides” video series. The series sends visitors on video tours through the world’s top cities and highlights top hotels, restaurants, shops, nightlife and activities.

CondéNet is the latest among a growing number of publishers to embrace TurnHere’s video production services to keep site visitors engaged, enhance user experience and drive better value for online advertisers. TurnHere continues to see strong market demand for its services among media and publishers. The company’s other recent customers include Chronicle Books, Simon & Schuster and washingtonpost.com.

Under the terms of the agreement with CondéNet, TurnHere will produce a different video series for three international destinations including Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Barcelona, Spain; and Italy’s Amalfi coast. Each series of 16 videos highlight the popular destinations, attractions and activities unique to that location. The fast-paced virtual tours are set to music and produced using TurnHere’s global network of independent filmmakers, and told through TurnHere’s authentic and compelling narrative style.

“By working with TurnHere and leveraging its global filmmaker network, we are able to provide our users with a local insider perspective from almost anywhere in the world,” says Richard Glosser, executive director of emerging media of CondéNet. “TurnHere’s unique approach will inform and visually inspire our audience while enhancing their overall travel-planning experience.”

“The landscape for publishers and media has evolved to the point where integrating online video is an essential part of their online business strategy,” said Bradley J. Inman, founder and CEO of TurnHere. “We work with publishers to create customized broadcast-quality, low-cost video programs that grow their respective audiences and their advertising revenue.”
