TV program blasts Ryanair

A television documentary on British television plans to unearth claims of exhausted crew, dirty air cabins and security lapses at Ryanair, Europe’s largest no-frills airline.Two Channel 4 undercover reporters spent five months secretly filming Ryanair’s training program and onboard flights as members of the cabin crew.

The reporters claim to reveal inadequate safety and security checks, dirty planes, exhausted cabin crew and pilots complaining about the number of hours they have to fly.

The series Dispatches aires at 8pm on Monday 13th February 2006. On the programme Ryanair staff speaking frankly about their experiences and attitudes towards passengers.

Ryanair is using its website to limit damage ahead of the claims by Channel 4.

“Ryanair operates to the highest European standards of safety and security. We are
proud of our 20 year unbroken safety record,” says the airline.

Dispatches wrote to Ryanair on the 12th January making a series of what the airline is calling “20 allegations.”

Ryanair’s reaction, they “can find no substance in any of the allegations in the letters received from the Dispatches production company.”
