TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, announced from Nokia World the beta launch of Traveller Lists & Tours across its TripAdvisor Mobile products. The new feature is now available on its apps for Nokia, iPhone, and Android smartphones, and the TripAdvisor mobile website, which is accessible on all major mobile phones. This new feature comes as TripAdvisor continues its rapid expansion across mobile platforms, with more than three million unique monthly mobile visitors accessing its wealth of travel advice in August alone.
While travellers can already get trusted travel advice on hotels, attractions, and restaurants, and also book cheap flights on TripAdvisor Mobile, they’re now also able to access the site’s Traveller Lists & Tours while they’re on their trips. These lists, written by real travellers, offer inside tips and secrets for travelling to cities around the world, from “Cheap Eats in San Francisco” to the “Must See Museums in Paris.” There are more than 7,500 lists and tours now available at travellers’ fingertips on TripAdvisor Mobile.
Once travellers find a list that’s helpful for their individual travel needs, they can find descriptions of the stops on the list, links to additional information on TripAdvisor, and also find their stops on a map, which is especially helpful for travellers who are out and about in their travel destination.
“With TripAdvisor Mobile, smartphone users are able to access the advice of 40 million of their fellow travellers while they’re doing what they love best—travelling,” said Adam Medros, vice president of product for TripAdvisor. “The new Traveller Lists & Tours feature gives travellers access to even more inside tips and things to do in their destinations, helping them have the best trip possible.”
Travellers can access the Traveller Lists & Tours feature, and also add lists of their own, by visiting the homepage on the TripAdvisor Nokia, iPhone, and Android apps, or by visiting www.tripadvisor.com/GoLists on the TripAdvisor mobile website.
