Quinta do Lago applauds Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley

One of the Algarve’s most prestigious golf resorts, Quinta do Lago, has announced that the founder of its Golf Academy, Paul McGinley, has been named captain of the 2014 Ryder Cup European Team.

The decision follows his successful vice-captaincy during the 2012 tournament.

Quinta do Lago has also revealed plans for the resort’s dedicated McGinley Academy clinics to be held on the resort alongside dates of other tailored golf events for the year ahead.

The Paul McGinley Golf Academy at Quinta do Lago, the first of its kind in the world, has gone from strength to strength since its launch in October 2011.

Running throughout the year, the Academy aims to cultivate and improve golfers’ play by offering expert tuition from fully trained professionals emulating McGinley’s teaching philosophy.

Group clinics are always in high demand and Paul McGinley will be visiting the resort over four days in 2013, providing visitors with an exclusive opportunity to learn with one of Europe’s best golfers.

The Academy also holds an annual Paul McGinley Junior Cup, which falls this year in August.

Players of up to 17 years old can take part in a friendly competition whilst gaining invaluable advice from the professional Academy team.
