Newly open Shanghai Marriott Hotel Changfeng Park gears up to World Expo and Thriving Tourism Ahead

Welcoming the Year of Tiger, the 501-room Shanghai Marriott Hotel Changfeng Park has opened its doors to guests offering luxurious accommodation, exquisite food and beverage facilities as well as great meeting facilities. The Shanghai Putuo hotel is well poised to welcome the highly-anticipated World Expo 2010, as well as cater to the burgeoning tourism market of Shanghai for years ahead.

Owned by the New Development Group Co., Ltd. and run by Marriott International under a long-term management agreement, the Shanghai hotel near the Suzhou River hosted a vibrant opening ceremony and celebration party with an attendance of some 500 government officials, business partners, key customers and media.

“Also we are the first internationally run five-star hotel in the Putuo District which is developing into a new, trendy ecology commercial zone. Our hotel is an early bird and will have an upper hand as Putuo gradually completes its evolution,” he added.

Located in the Changfeng Ecology Commercial District, the 32-storey hotel faces the picturesque Changfeng Park and overlooks Suzhou River. Adjacent to the Hongqiao CBD, it is only 15- minute drive from Hongqiao Airport and 50-minute drive from Pudong International Airport.

Its 501 spacious guest rooms are designed to accommodate both leisure and business visitors, featuring plush new bedding, bathrobes, flat screen television, ergonomic chairs, high speed internet and a well lit full-sized desk. The executive lounge is located on the 31st floor and boasts a panoramic view of the scenic Changfeng Park.

The hotel near Shanghai Zhongshan Park also offers seven restaurants and bars featuring international cuisine and local favorites. Pearl features cuisine from the Pearl River Delta region. The restaurant has eight private rooms for a more personal dining experience. Sakitori offers traditional yet contemporary Japanese cuisine for lunch and dinner. Park Café serves all day dining and three-meal buffet featuring south Asian, western and Chinese cuisine. Java+ provides freshly baked breads and pastries as well as an extensive selection of home-made chocolate. Panorama opens for lunch serving simple yet tasty sandwiches and light snacks, then serving drinks and tapas from early evening till late night. DôME is a stylish wine bar at the basement featuring a variety of fine red wine.
