Sabre Hospitality Solutions, the industry’s leading global hospitality technology company, has been selected by Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. to provide distribution services for their 25 member hotels located throughout Asia, North America and Europe.
Earlier this year, Japan-originated Hotel Okura acquired JAL Hotels, an existing Sabre Hospitality Solutions customer and hotel management firm representing Nikko Hotels International and Hotel JAL City brands. Hotel Okura has also renewed JAL Hotels’ agreement with Sabre Hospitality Solutions to continue supporting their 54 properties worldwide.
All 79 properties represented by Hotel Okura or JAL Hotels will now use Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ SynXis Central Reservation System (CRS) for connectivity to all channels including global distribution systems, third party websites, Sabre’s global call center solution and to local Japanese online travel agencies. Both Hotel Okura and JAL Hotels will have their own private label chain codes (NK and OC).
“The relationship between Sabre and JAL Hotels over the past few years played a big part in our decision to migrate Hotel Okura over to the Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ suite of products,” said Kenji Goto, executive director & managing corporate executive officer, Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. “JAL Hotels experienced an impressive 18 percent increase in revenue after their initial migration to Sabre in 2009, and we were also impressed by the strength of Sabre’s team in Japan and their overall customer-focused approach. And, the ease and success of our most recent cutover is further proof we made a good choice.”
Sabre Hospitality Solutions is committed to the Japanese market and has experienced significant growth in Asia since the company opened their Tokyo office in 2008. Sabre’s Tokyo office includes a team of professionals fluent in Japanese that support the full complement of hospitality resources including customer care, training, implementation, account management and sales.
“Sabre Hospitality Solutions products will be at the core of JAL Hotel’s growth plans going forward by enabling business transformation. For example, combining their call centers and linking their chain codes,” said Patrick Andres, Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ vice president for Asia-Pacific. “This growing hotel company requires more than just great technology. They need a great team who can support them in achieving their goals, and we believe our team is the right fit for that.”
