Flybe launches new Palma de Mallorca connection out of Doncaster Sheffield

Flybe has started operating its brand new summer sun route between Doncaster Sheffield airport and Palma de Mallorca.

Palma is the capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca and offers a great variety of resorts to suit all tastes plus, of course, delivering lots of sunshine.

Vincent Hodder, Flybe chief revenue officer, commented: “We are pleased to begin flying this new route from Doncaster Sheffield.

“The timing of the service gives Yorkshire-based passengers the flexibility to choose between either a long weekend or a full week or two in the sun.

“We look forward to welcoming all our new passengers on board.”

The twice weekly service operates through to October 2017, operating every Monday and Friday.

Chris Harcombe, head of aviation development at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: “It is always fantastic to see the first flight set off on its new journey.

“Our customers asked for more low cost flights to quality holiday spots and we listened to them.

“Flybe worked to add this route to its already impressive range of popular sun soaked destinations, with great prices and schedules too.

“Today marks a moment of advancement for our region and its connections with top quality holiday destinations.”
