Flybe announces new route from Belfast to Humberside

Flybe, the UK’s Number One Domestic Airline and the largest scheduled carrier from George Best Belfast City Airport, has today announced a brand new four times weekly service to Humberside Airport operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays with seats now on sale from £25.99 one-way including taxes and charges for travel effective 27th May.

The new route will be the first ever scheduled service to Northern Island from Humberside airport. It will be operated by one of the airline’s state-of-the-art 78-seat Q-400 aircraft featuring comfortable 2x2 seating configuration and further expands Flybe’s presence at the airport from where it also offers flights to Jersey and Malaga.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, comments: “We’re delighted to be adding yet another new service from Humberside and to increasing the already extensive choice of affordable routes we operate from Belfast for our Northern Ireland travellers which, during Summer 2010, will now number up to 490 flights a week.”

Tony Lavan, Humberside Airport Director said: “We’re delighted that Flybe will be extending their commitment to the airport and the region by introducing another new route from Humberside Airport.

“The new four times weekly scheduled service to Belfast comes only weeks after Flybe’s announcement of a new weekly service to Malaga for summer 2010. We are sure that Belfast will be a popular addition to the schedule and we look forward to working with Flybe to make it a great success.”
