easyJet adds three new routes from London Luton Airport easyJet will add new flights to Nantes, Marseille and Valencia

easyJet has announced it will operate three new routes from London Luton Airport.

Joining easyJet’s already comprehensive line up of destinations from the airport are Gallic duo, Nantes and Marseille and a new Spanish destination Valencia.

On sale now, the routes will be bookable via the app and website with the first flights taking off from February next year.

The trio of well-known leisure destinations will offer customers even more choice for European holidays covering both beach and city breaks.

Marseille is however, also an important business area enjoying a recent boom through a change from light manufacturing to a new high tech economy across biotechnology, multimedia and innovation.

Similarly Valencia’s port handles 20 per cent of Spain’s exports and is the largest in the western Mediterranean.

Across the new routes the airline is expected to fly 133,000 passengers a year from the airport, operating four times a week to Nantes and Marseille, and three times a week to Valencia.

The new routes enable easyJet to continue to support the redevelopment of the airport.

easyJet is expected to fly over six million passengers from the airport this year, an increase of 500,000 in the last 12 months.

Neil Slaven, commercial manager, easyJet, said: “We have seen increasing passenger numbers and demand year on year at London Luton Airport.

“We will continue to invest and develop Luton as an important London airport for both business and leisure travellers.

“The three new routes on sale today further bolster our summer destination on offer to customers in the region.”
