Costa Cruises, Europe’s no. 1 cruise company, presents “Play & Win with Costa Favolosa”, the contest dedicated to the fleet’s new flagship, due to be delivered on 2 July 2011.

“Play & Win with Costa Favolosa” is an online contest running until 20 June 2011. The prize is two cruises on board the Costa Favolosa. To play, visit www.costafavolosa.com and choose your country of residence.

The contest is divided into two parts, and a cruise is up for grabs in each one. In the first part, called “What fairy tale are you?” entrants answer a five-question quiz about the Costa Favolosa. Based on the answers selected, the user will then be matched to one of four profiles available (wellness, family, couple, young people). Each applicant will be entered into a draw which will take place on 30 June 2011 to determine the winner of the cruise. The prize includes a cabin for two with a private balcony on the Costa Favolosa departing 6 November 2011 (eight days to Greece, Turkey and Croatia). In addition to the cruise, the winner will also receive free onboard services related to the profile assigned by the quiz. For example, if the winner is matched to the “wellness” profile, the additional prize will be a treatment package in Samsara Spa, the 6,000 m² wellness area on the Costa Favolosa, plus a dinner in the exclusive Samsara restaurant, the restaurant dedicated to wellness.

To take part in the second part of the contest, called “Favolosa is”, users must submit a photograph that represents their own “fabulous experience” along with a brief text by 20 June 2011. The pictures will be published in the gallery of the www.costafavolosa.com website. All pictures in the gallery will be “logoed” with the word “Favolosa”, the distinctive graphic element of the new flagship’s launch. Users will also be able to share the pictures with friends on the main social network sites (such as Facebook and Twitter). All web users can vote for their favourite picture in the online gallery. A draw will take place on 30 November 2011 from the 200 pictures that received the most votes. The prize is a cruise for two people in a sea view cabin on the Costa Favolosa departing on 29 April 2012 (eight days to Greece, Turkey and Croatia).

The Costa Favolosa, weighing in at 114,500 gross tonnage and with accommodation for up to 3,800 total guests, will be the largest ship flying the Italian flag and a symbol of Italian-made excellence plying the seas of the world. The Costa Favolosa is set to make her debut on a three-day vernissage cruise departing from Venice on 4 July 2011, and calling at Dubrovnik (Croatia) and Koper (Slovenia).  This will be followed by her grand inaugural cruise, which leaves Venice on 7 July 2011:  an 11-day itinerary taking in Greece, Turkey and Croatia with stopovers in Bari, Izmir, Istanbul (Turkey), Mykonos, Athens, Olympia (Greece) and Dubrovnik (Croatia).  Throughout the 2011 summer season the Costa Favolosa will be offering seven-day cruises from Venice and Bari to Olympia (Greece), Izmir and Istanbul (Turkey), and Dubrovnik (Croatia).
