The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) has announced a joint initiative with Sabre Holdings Corporation to encourage former members of the Society to rejoin.
Sabre is supporting the ASTA Membership Win-back Campaign by providing funds for a limited time to subsidize 50% of membership fees for travel agencies who rejoin ASTA.
“ASTA and Sabre hold a common mission—to help our travel agents prosper in an ever-changing and challenging environment—making this campaign the ideal opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits that both Sabre and ASTA can offer to agencies,” said ASTA President and CEO Richard M. Copland, CTC. “The Society is extremely excited about this new program, which promotes both the travel agency community and ASTA`s `Power in Numbers` message.”
“Our goals are aligned with ASTA`s—we want to enable independent travel agencies to stay competitive and profitable by tapping new business resources to improve service to their customers,” said Ellen Keszler, senior vice president of Travel Agency Solutions, North America, for Sabre. “We are working in lockstep with ASTA to provide education and training opportunities that help agencies meet the needs of the traveling public—today and tomorrow.”
