Lufthansa, SWISS launch Saudi plan

Lufthansa and Swiss International Air Lines have announced joint operations under the leadership of Rolf Koller, as the new General Manager for both airlines, Koller will be responsible for Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
In addition, Abdul Aziz Mangera has been appointed as District Manager for the Western Province, based in the port city of Jeddah.

With this announcement, Lufthansa and SWISS customers in Saudi Arabia can now able to enjoy greater benefits from the ever-closer collaboration between the two airline partners.

With the SWISS integration into the Lufthansa Group, the carriers who have their operations ‘under one roof’ at their Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich hubs are able to provide more destinations, denser frequencies, better connections worldwide, interlinked frequent flyer programmes and enhanced lounge access arrangements.

At a press conference to announce the join operations, Koller said:

“Our integration processes are working very successfully. With our joint ventures on our frequent flyer programs, Partner plus benefits for corporate customers, the three-hub strategy with Zurich, Frankfurt and Munich and SWISS joining Star Alliance, we are setting a high quality trend of benefits for our customers in the Kingdom.”

Passengers traveling on either airline from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can now benefit from a single price structure which will help travelers to travel one way on SWISS and return on Lufthansa or vice versa.

Additionally, passengers can enjoy a choice of six flights a week, between both Riyadh and Jeddah.
