In a survey of 1,700 meeting planners by the Maritz Research Hospitality
Group, Marriott International, Inc. headed the group of best upscale hotel
companies for providing positive experiences when planning meetings and
events.
In the “2003 Meeting Planner Choice, Experience, Loyalty Study,” planners
were asked to provide a wide variety of ratings for an individual hotel at
which they had held a meeting or event in the past six months. The ratings
were combined to provide an overall company rating.
