Asia-Pacific: two partnerships to make booking and payment easier for travellers

The Japanese group JCBI, via its payment brand JCB, and HanaTour, the largest South Korean travel company, have both just signed major partnerships with Accor. These agreements illustrate the Group’s intention to constantly improve its response to the specific demands of local and international travellers.

Direct connectivity agreement with HanaTour
HanaTour, through a direct connectivity agreement, will benefit from privileged access to the Group’s hotels as well as advantageous rates. This accessibility will improve booking capabilities for group packages and individual travellers for rooms at Accor hotels around the world. “The association with HanaTour, South Korea’s top travel company, will unquestionably enhance our capability to drive more business into our hotels from the strong Korean outbound market “, explained Jean-Luc Chrétien, Executive Vice President for Sales, Distribution, and Loyalty.

Closer tie-up with JCBI
To stimulate bookings from Japanese travellers in its hotels, Accor is also strengthening its partnership with JCBI through its global payment brand JCB. This will enhance acceptance of the JCB card in Accor hotels and on the Accorhotels.com booking portal.  “We are excited and honored to partner with JCB, one of the world’s leading payment brands. This partnership will increase the acceptance of JCB cards throughout our global network of hotels.  In addition, we will work with JCB to deliver attractive offers to JCB card members”, emphasised Jean-Luc Chrétien.

For its part, JCBI will seek to promote the Accorhotels.com website and Accor’s loyalty program, Le Club Accorhotels, to its customers through its various communication channels.

Both of these agreements confirm the win-win relationship between the Group and its partners.
