Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi brings a touch of splendour to UAE

The glamorous Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi & Villas has opened its doors in the UAE, marking Hyatt’s first foray into the progressive and popular emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts – recognised as North America’s Leading Hotel Brand and Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Brand by the World Travel Awards – joined forces with Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) to develop the exquisite Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, which has opened to the public today.

The landmark property, comprises 306 luxuriously appointed contemporary rooms (including 39 suites and four private luxury villas) and caters to both business and leisure travellers with its extensive facilities and five star service.

The iconic landmark property sits on a serene stretch of white sand beach on Abu Dhabi’s prestigious Saadiyat island, encapsulating Hyatt’s authentic and elegant approach to hospitality.

Luxurious guestrooms provide the perfect retreat
306 spacious rooms, suites and private villas offer guests an intimate and luxurious place to retreat.

The Arabian-inspired guestrooms provide boast a contemporary design.

All wooden elements in guest bedrooms and corridors originate from a mixture of oak and black American walnut from Finland. Guest bathroom features are made from Chinese lava wave marble as well as white marble originating from Oman.

Each 50 square-metre guestroom has a spacious bathroom with an oversized stand-alone bath tub and dedicated rain-shower area, as well as a spacious balcony with views towards the Arabian Sea, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club or hotel swimming pools.

Of particular interest for families are the resort’s luxurious Beach View and Garden View Suites with a residential ambience and flexible bedroom configurations which can house large and small families.

Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, the villas also feature a large terrace with a private plunge pool, outdoor massage beds, a rain shower and sun beds, overlooking Saadiyat Beach or the Golf Club.

The hotel’s secluded Executive and Royal Villa feature two and three bedrooms plus a maid room and a dining area for up to eight guests along with a fully equipped kitchen and butler’s entrance.

For ultimate luxury, the premium suite and villa categories offer additional amenities and services, such as butler service, complimentary breakfast and free airport transfers.

Spa lovers can unwind in The Atarmia day spa, which offers beauty and health treatments, a fitness centre, whirlpool, steam room and sauna.

Sporting enthusiasts will not be disappointed either, with a lush tennis court and four outdoor swimming pools, including a children’s pool.

Visitors can also enjoy desert safaris and dune driving in four-wheel drive vehicles and a range of beautifully located golf courses with breathtaking views and award-winning designs.

Business travellers can enjoy extensive conference and meetings facilities to cater for any occasion at the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, from exclusive board meetings, to conferences or social gathering.

State of the art multimedia technology and wireless internet connectivity connect an impressive selection of meeting venues at the hotel includes 11 function rooms – all of which are conveniently located on the ground and lobby levels providing access to outdoor terraces.

One of the most unique meetings features of the property is The Residence - the UAE’s first residential-style event facility for exclusive business or social gatherings, consisting of five individually styled event rooms surrounding an inner courtyard and The Garden, an exclusive outdoor venue for cocktail receptions or gala dinners.

Meanwhile the Alyazya Ballroom comfortably accommodates up to 550 guests. An experienced banqueting and events team are always on hand to ensure that all functions run smoothly.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, The Park Bar & Grill, which is spread over two levels - offers a large seafood display, authentic Asian dishes and carefully selected steaks from the charcoal-fired grill.

For family style Mediterranean home made dishes, accompanied by cocktails, wines and sangria guests can visit The Beach House with its spectacular views of the Arabian Sea on one side, and the beautifully landscaped gardens on the other.

Meanwhile the property even offers a contemporary tea lounge serving selected teas, coffees and pastries at The Library for those guests who enjoy a spot of afternoon tea.

Visitors to Abu Dhabi soar
For the first time in 2011, Abu Dhabi is set to welcome two million guests to stay in its hotels and long-stay apartments for the first time – an increase of nearly 15 per cent on the previous year.

Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), the tourism body which is behind the impressive development taking place in Abu Dhabi, has already won four World Travel Awards this year, including Middle East’s Leading Tourist Board. ADTA has been nominated in for World’s Leading Destination at the forthcoming World Travel Awards Grand Final

According to ADTA, the rise in visitors this year can be attributed to a number of factors: “Much of this increase can be attributed to our upgraded leisure offering, the quality and outstanding value of our accommodation offer and the particular success of consumer orientated programmes such as the Yas Island Show Weekends,” explained Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority Strategy and Policy Director, Lawrence Franklin.

Hyatt in global expansion
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas will be followed shortly by Hyatt Capital Gate - the city’s premium business address located in the iconic Capital Gate building adjacent to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Meanwhile in 2012 the Park Hyatt Doha, which is currently under construction, will open in the heart of Doha’s downtown business district. The property is one of 15 Park Hyatt hotels under development worldwide.
