Lufthansa Allegris arrives in the Land of the Rising Sun
Lufthansa Allegris, the airline’s new onboard travel experience on long-haul routes, commenced its scheduled service from Munich, Germany to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, arriving Monday, October 27, 2025. The first Lufthansa Allegris flight from Tokyo to Munich, LH715, departed the same day at 10:45 local time. Operated by an Airbus A350-900, all classes are fully equipped with the new Allegris product, including the innovative First Class Cabin.
Emirates Showcases Retrofitted B777 with Premium Economy to Celebrate 40th Anniversary to Karachi
Forty years ago, Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, launched its first flight, EK600, on the route to Karachi. To commemorate the milestone Emirates today showcased its retrofitted B777, featuring Premium Economy cabins, at Jinnah International Airport. The special preview, held on the eve of the airline’s 40th anniversary, provided VIPs and stakeholders from the aviation and travel industry, and members of the media a walkthrough tour of Emirates’ reconfigured and refreshed four-class aircraft, sporting its latest features.
Qatar Airways Awarded ‘Best Airline App 2025’ by World Aviation Festival
Qatar Airways has been recognised with the ‘Best Airline App 2025’ award at this year’s World Aviation Festival, the largest aviation technology event in the world. The winner was announced during the ‘Battle of the Airlines Apps’, a unique, side-by-side judged contest that began with travellers nominating their favourite airline app prior to the event. Then the five top-rated apps were evaluated by a jury based on user experience, mobile services, and digital innovation after each airline presented their digital platform.
British Airways launches new collectable range of Business Class amenity kits
British Airways has launched brand-new amenity kits in its Club World (long-haul business class) cabin at London Gatwick, part of a new partnership with luxury British wellness specialist anatomē. The amenity kits are on offer to customers travelling in Club World from Gatwick from 26 October 2025. There will be four unique and bold designs from British artists in the range for customers to collect, as the flag carrier continues to push the brand and customer experience forward, celebrating British originality, creativity and relaxation at 35,000ft.
American Airlines welcomes the Airbus A321XLR to the fleet
American Airlines is “suite-ening” its premium cross-country experience with the debut of the Airbus A321XLR in its fleet. Customers can purchase tickets now on aa.com and via American’s mobile app for the inaugural flight — Flight 3 on Dec. 18 from New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX). “Designed for long journeys with comfort and style at the forefront, American is thrilled to be the first U.S. airline to operate the A321XLR,” said Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer. “Whether customers are traveling from coast to coast or across the ocean, American’s newest aircraft demonstrates our commitment to providing a premium travel experience.”

Pegasus Airlines and Iberia Sign New Codeshare Agreement
Pegasus Airlines has signed a new codeshare agreement with Iberia, offering passengers more choice and convenience. Through this partnership, Pegasus guests can now travel seamlessly to 13 destinations via Iberia flights from Madrid-Barajas Airport. These include 11 Spanish cities; Málaga, Tenerife (North), Palma de Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, A Coruña, Asturias, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Vigo and Seville, via Madrid, in addition to the routes already served by Pegasus; Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Seville. The network also expands to Lisbon in Portugal, and São Paulo in Brazil via Madrid.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) welcomes the UK Government’s renewed commitment to unlocking economic growth, enhancing global connectivity, and supporting trade and tourism by expanding Heathrow Airport, the country’s primary hub. “The government’s long-term goal to stimulate the economy by expanding global connectivity with a Heathrow expansion is spot on. However, the political haste to move quickly to capture the economic benefit of construction will seriously handicap the UK in the long term if it fails to build something that is affordable.

To qualify, members of Aeroplan, Air Canada’s frequent flyer programme, must book a round trip or two one-way tickets for any destination beyond Canada that the airline flies to.
