flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, has announced seven new interline agreements, bringing the carrier’s total number of interline partners to more than 40. These strategic agreements give flydubai customers access to more than 30 destinations in Europe through Greece’s flagship carrier, Aegean Airlines, and Italy’s national carrier, ITA Airways. In addition, flydubai passengers travelling to the Far East and South-East Asia can enjoy greater connectivity to more than 90 destinations with Myanmar Airways International and Chinese airlines Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines and Sichuan Airlines.

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, celebrates 25 years of operations to Uganda. Since the inaugural flight in 2000, Emirates has transported 2.8 million passengers on 15,900 flights, connecting passengers from Uganda, with its vast global network, via Dubai. Over the years, Emirates has steadily and strategically scaled its operations to Entebbe, evolving with customer demand. At launch, the service was operated three times a week, and linked with Nairobi, and later with Addis Ababa, before becoming a direct service in 2007. In 2015, Emirates first operated the Boeing 777-200LR, replacing the Airbus A330-200 and upgrading seat capacity by 12%. Now, Emirates operates a three-class Boeing 777-300ER and remains the only international airline offering a First Class cabin in and out of the city.

Swiss International Air Lines takes delivery of its first A350-900

Virgin Atlantic Board Announces New CEO
The Virgin Atlantic Board is pleased to announce its succession plan for the airline’s Chief Executive Officer, Shai Weiss. After a successful seven-year tenure, Shai will stand down as Chief Executive and leave the airline on 31 December 2025. Corneel Koster will succeed Shai and become CEO on 1 January 2026.
