PortAventura World Parks & Resort has appointed Mark Hopper as the new sales director for UK & Ireland.
He joins less than a month before the opening of PortAventura’s latest theme park, Ferrari Land.
Designed to incorporate the thrill and innovation of the legendary brand, this will be the only Ferrari themed park in Europe, and its vertical accelerator ride is set to be the highest and fastest roller coaster in Europe.
In his new role, Hopper will focus on continuing to grow the high visitor numbers that already descend on PortAventura World annually, particularly considering the UK as a key market for the resort.
With over 30 years of experience within the travel industry, he will build on his relationships with trade media to support the international growth of the PortAventura brand.
Hopped commented: “I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to play a part in the growth of the already-significant visitor numbers from the UK & Ireland.

Hopper has previously worked for Sunhotels, Bedsonline, Getabed and Hayes & Jarvis.
