The Saxon Hotel, Villas & Spa has announced the appointment of Willie Williams as director of sales and marketing, to start in April. 

Williams joins the Saxon after his six years as director of sales and marketing for Taj Cape Town.

He has a strong background of almost 20 years in the South African luxury hotel industry with focus on sales, revenue management and marketing.

Williams commented: “It is indeed a personal honour and privilege to join such a wonderful team of hospitality professionals that has a reputation for service excellence at one of the world’s most iconic luxury hotels.” 

In what has been a period of great success and growth for the hotel and the brand in terms of awards, industry accolades and a new digital strategy being implemented within the next few months, Williams’ appointment echoes managing director George Cohen’s current vision to select only the finest and passionate hoteliers to contribute to the future growth of the Saxon.
