Nadine Waechter Moreno appointed Executive Chef of Park Hyatt Tokyo

Park Hyatt Tokyo is pleased to announce the appointment of Nadine Waechter Moreno as executive chef, effective 18th August 2010. In her new role, Chef Nadine will be chiefly responsible for defining the hotel’s culinary voice, and for setting standards that ensure the exceptional quality, range, style and creativity of the cuisine offered in Park Hyatt Tokyo’s five restaurants and banquets. Chef Nadine has been chef de cuisine of the hotel’s iconic New York Grill & Bar since 2008.

Born in Switzerland, Chef Nadine began her culinary career in 1996 as an apprentice at the Hotel Schweizerhof in Lucerne. After spending a few years at various hotels in Switzerland, she joined the team at Restaurant Schöngrün, where she was named “Best Newcomer Chef” in 2006 by the coveted Gault-Millau guide. Her curiosity to experience a different part of the world took her next across the Pacific to Ayers Rock, Australia, at Longitude 131, then onto the Great Barrier Reef to head up the kitchen at the five-star Lizard Island.

“I am very honoured to take on the role of executive chef of Park Hyatt Tokyo. During my tenure as chef de cuisine of New York Grill, I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing, dedicated team and cook with the exceptional quality of ingredients available here in Japan. I hope to make the most of my past experience and contribute to the culinary reputation of this hotel while adding my own personal touch to the dining experience for all our guests.” Nadine Waechter Moreno Appointed Executive Chef of Park Hyatt Tokyo Chef Nadine replaces Stefan Moerth, who was executive chef of Park Hyatt Tokyo since January 2007.
