Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts donate USD 50,000 to University of Denver
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has established a pledge of USD 50,000.00 to create an endowed fund at the University of Denver (DU).
The fund will provide scholarship support to undergraduate students at the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at DU. The gift, pledged over five years, will be matched by DU, amounting to a USD 100,000.00 endowment fund.
“We are excited to partner with DU and create a fund that will benefit many students in the years to come,” says Bill Thomas, director of human resources for Four Seasons Hotel Denver. “Additionally, we look forward to hiring DU graduates to work within our hotels and resorts.”
David L. Corsun, PhD, director and associate professor of the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management adds: “We are so pleased that Four Seasons has chosen to endow this scholarship for future Knoebel School students. It is a testimony to the partnership we have built and to the quality of our program, students and alumni. The Four Seasons Endowed Scholarship will, in perpetuity, provide resources enabling talented young people to attend the Knoebel School at DU.”
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts actively recruits from DU. To date within the past year, 11 DU graduates have been placed as management trainees at Four Seasons properties in Austin, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; Hualalai, Hawaii; San Francisco, San Diego and Westlake Village, California; and Denver and Vail, Colorado.
