For the eighth year, Four Seasons Hotel Doha is supporting the Terry Fox Run with all the proceeds benefiting cancer research.

The Terry Fox Run is an annual marathon held to help raise funds and awareness for finding a cure for cancer. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Founder and Chairman Isadore Sharp made a commitment to support the annual fund raising event since Terry Fox, a young Canadian man suffering from bone cancer, initiate the event in 1980. Although his left leg amputated, Terry was determined to run across Canada to generate awareness and raise funds for cancer research. Sharp made a personal pledge to the Terry Fox Run for cancer research until the disease is beaten. Since its inauguration, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has followed through on its pledge around the world.

The Terry Fox Run is a volunteer-led event, non-competitive, with no fundraising minimums with all fundraising going to the Terry Fox Foundation benefiting cancer research. For the second time the money will be left in Qatar as there are now several research projects that are looking for the cure for cancer in Doha. The event is catered by Four Seasons Hotel Doha food and beverage volunteers. Families can bring their kids as there will be face painting and other fun activities.

Participants are encouraged to make voluntary contributions during the day of the run towards the fight against cancer.
