Ebookers.com aunches travel agency affiliate programme

Leading online travel agent ebookers.com today announced the UK launch of “ebookers for agents” – its affiliate programme that offers travel agents full access to ebookers’ hotel, package, flight and car products and affords travel agents the opportunity to earn high commissions from the re-sale of these products to consumers.

Following the UK launch, “ebookers for agents” will be rolled out across ebookers’ other European websites during the remainder of 2010. Travel agents can easily sign up for the programme on ebookers.com website (www.ebookersforagents.com) and on a dedicated telephone line.

Gilles Despas, ebookers’ B2B Vice President, said of the programme, “ebookers for agents will enable travel agent customers to benefit from the hotel and package deals negotiated by our Global sourcing team, whilst still allowing travel agents the freedom to manage important revenue streams such as service charges and mark-ups’’.

Steven Rice, Head of Offline Marketing for UK, France and Ireland, added, “ebookers for agents is the perfect solution for travel agents who want access to an enhanced range of hotel and package deals whilst earning extremely competitive commissions. There is no cost for agents to sign up to the programme. They receive free access to over 90,000 hotels, thousands of customised packages, flights from hundreds of airlines, and car rental hire from over 7,000 pick-up points”.

Standard commission rates include 10% for standalone hotel and 4% for package bookings. The first 100 travel agents to sign up and book on the site by June 30th 2010 will earn higher commissions on sales of hotel and vacation packages for a one year period on all bookings.

The launch of the ebookers programme follows the launch of a similar programme from Orbitz.com, ebookers’ parent company and one of the largest online travel agents in the World. “Orbitz for agents” was launched in February in the USA and offers travel agents the opportunity to receive commissions for hotel and customised vacation package bookings made for their customers on the Orbitz for Agents (OFA) website.
