Grand Hospitality Selects iHotelier as Distribution Partner

In keeping with its rapid growth in the hospitality industry, iHotelier has announced another hotel partnership.

New York’s famous Soho Grand Hotel
and Tribeca Grand Hotel, both owned by Grand Hospitality, will be using iHotelier’s Central Reservation System (CRS) for its key distribution channels - Internet and Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
iHotelier’s OneScreen? booking engine has already been implemented on their Websites and is receiving great praise from guests at Grand Hospitality.  Susy Struble of Sun Microsystems, remarked, “As a frequent business traveler, the most frustrating part of my travel experiences is simply settling on the travel dates and finding hotel availability online. Most online booking engines are clumsy, forcing me to open multiple windows and juggle across myriad screens in order to figure out rates on different potential travel dates. This “feature” is particularly irritating when I`m on the road and connected with limited bandwidth.  iHotelier`s online booking engine was a relief from this frustration! Its user interface was simple and slick and provided the fastest tool possible. On just one screen—no pop ups! - I could flip through potential travel dates, the hotel`s room availability, and all room rates.”

According to the agreement, iHotelier will also provide Grand Hospitality’s private label chain code (GG) with seamless connectivity to all the major GDSs.  Tim Holmes, Revenue Manager of Grand Hospitality, certainly seems satisfied with their decision to go with iHotelier.  “We looked at numerous systems and decided that iHotelier was the best fit for us.  It is highly customizable and its robust functionality makes it easy to manage multiple channels.  They offer a complete electronic distribution package that includes seamless GDS connectivity, interactive online booking technology, and a robust CRS that provides reservation reports and charts that are great tools for revenue management and marketing.”

“It’s a great honor for us to be the representation firm behind reputable properties such as the Soho and Tribeca Grand” said Drew Rosser, iHotelier’s Director of Sales.  “These are two very unique properties located in Manhattan’s upscale Soho area.  Our ability to carry this upscale and unique offering over the Web to the user via our OneScreen user interface is just what these hotels were looking for.  Not only do we have the Web solution they need, but now they no longer have the task of managing a Web reservations system and GDS provider separately.  Plus with the interface into Lodging Touch all reservations will download from iHotelier into each hotel’s PMS.”
