Clarendon pushes green credentials

Visitors to the Clarendon stand at The London Business Travel Show were impressed by the efforts made by their on-going commitment to environmentally friendly practices in their business. In keeping with the “Green” theme of this year’s exhibition and conference, Clarendon also had TV celebrity and BBC TV CountryFile presenter John Craven on their stand to discuss ways in which environmentally friendly practices can be introduced into the workplace.

“We were delighted with the response we received from visitors to the stand.  They were well-informed, supportive and appreciated what we were trying to achieve and we are in the process of following up a large number of new clients that we met at the show”, says Peter Morgan, Marketing Manager of Clarendon

Clarendon has expanded its portfolio of serviced apartments in London to over 200 units with the most recent additions including two locations in the City.  Furthermore, in the last 18 months Clarendon has experienced rapid growth from 0 to 100 apartments in Canary Wharf.

The apartments are ideal for City workers who seek the best of both worlds - a location close to their place of work and an area which provides all the facilities and services to support a busy and demanding lifestyle.

John Craven, a passionate campaigner for environmentally friendly practices, was fully supportive of Clarendon’s initiatives and this theme is taken up by Lorna Keen, Head of Business Development at Clarendon:

“Clarendon Serviced Apartments is extremely proud to say it is the first owner manager of serviced apartments in London to become Carbon Neutral.  As an environmentally conscious company and as part of our ongoing commitment to the environment we have been working with The Carbon Neutral Company to offset our carbon footprint for 2007 and we will shortly be implementing a carbon reduction programme to address the longer term objective of reducing emissions.  This is a challenge, but, it is one that we welcome and we are confident we can build on the strong relationships we have with our clients to develop better practices to help achieve our carbon reduction objectives”.
