Airtel Seychelles has welcomed the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture’s proposal to becoming a partner of the Ministry’s “Celebrate Seychelles – Events.” Minister St.Ange made the proposal during discussions with Mr. Tsiresy Randriamampionona, the Airtel Managing Director, as he paid a courtesy call on the Minister.

“Airtel has a unique opportunity, as they already have a strong position in Seychelles. With the Seychelles competitive market in the telecom industry, there is a need for local companies to be more seen, and to be branded with national events is one such avenue. For Airtel this will increase the visibility of their brand, but the same possibility exists for other companies wanting to be seen as the partner standing behind popular events of the country,” said Minister St.Ange.

In the discussions with the Airtel Managing Director and Ms. Bernadette Larue, Minister St.Ange has proposed two events that now form part of the “Celebrate Seychelles – Events” list that is organized through the Seychelles Tourism Board and the Department of Culture in his Ministry, for which Airtel Seychelles could consider being the branded force.

The MD of Airtel has said that Minister St.Ange’s proposal for Airtel to become more involved with the big popular events organized through the Ministry of Tourism and Culture is interesting, and the offer to become a branded partner of these national events is now being discussed.
