World Ski Awards arrives at A-ROSA Kitzbühel World Ski Awards will launch today

VIPs and senior dignitaries from across the world of ski are arriving at A-ROSA Kitzbühel ahead of the inaugural World Ski Awards.

With a welcome dinner greeting guests last night, nominees will take part in a three day programme of unrivalled networking events and exclusive ski experience activities.

The highlight of the event will be the glittering red carpet World Ski Awards Gala Ceremony itself this evening.

Ski tourism figureheads and market leaders from North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia will be in attendance as the World Ski Awards winners are unveiled.

As well as accolades for the best products from the world’s top 20 ski tourism nations, the winners of awards for the ‘World’s Best Ski Resort’, ‘World’s Best Ski Hotel’, ‘World’s Best Ski Chalet’, ‘World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel’ and for ‘Outstanding Services to Ski Tourism’ will also be announced.

Following the event guests will be invited to take to the slopes on November 17th for a day of relaxation.

World Ski Awards managing director Sion Rapson highlighted the role that World Ski Awards is set to play.

He explained: “World Ski Awards is the definitive awards programme within global ski tourism. 

“The winners who have been voted for by tourism professionals and high-end ski tourism consumers will serve to define the standards of our industry, inspiring others to raise the guest experience and stimulate new demand.”

World Ski Awards is the sister organisation of World Travel Awards, which is heralded as “the Oscars of the travel industry”.
