Virgin Atlantic seeks to wow passengers with new Upper Class

Virgin Atlantic has confirmed it will reveal a new Upper Class cabin in the spring, designed to bring the “wow factor” back to air travel.

Initially to be launched on morning flights from London Heathrow to JKF, the new cabin is designed to boost its share of business travel on the route.

The plan is part of a £100 million investment from the carrier and will be launched on the latest Airbus A330 serving New York.

Rollout is expected to take three years across the entire fleet.

Designed are being kept secret until launch in the spring, but are the result of exhaustive testing.

Frequent fliers have been given a chance to offer their advice, with some sleeping overnight on new flat beds at test facilities.

A new Virgin Clubhouse will also open in New York in March.

Virgin Atlantic is considered the World’s Leading Airline to North America by the World Travel Awards.
