Taiwan launches a new bus service for tourists

A new tourist bus service has launched in Puli, central Taiwan, to make it easier for independent travellers to tour some of the area’s most impressive visitor attractions. The local government developed the new bus service to cater to Puli’s increasing popularity for sightseeing.

There are currently two bus routes for tourists to choose from. Buses on the Blue Line visit a number of impressive leisure locations, including one of Taiwan’s most remarkable sights – the Chung Tai Chan Monastery – and the Puli Winery which is famous for producing Shaohsing, a smooth wine originally from China. Buses on the Green Line make stops at the Musheng Insect Museum, which is home to Taiwan’s largest species of living butterflies, as well as other popular attractions.
